PLC Meeting

   

There will be a 5:30 pm PLC Meeting tonight before the Troop Meeting outside the FLC. Be sure to bring a chair.

All Patrol Leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders, elected positions and the SPL team should plan to attend.

Recharter Paperwork and Dues Due TONIGHT!

TROOP MEETING TONIGHT And, at the meeting is a VERY IMPORTANT DEADLINE --the final opportunity to pay your RECHARTER MEMBER DUES! Remember to bring TWO copies of the health forms which includes copies of your insurance cards. All adults rechartering MUST have a current YPT or they will be not be included in the recharter, so bring a copy of your YPT cert to be sure (individual emails were sent to those with expired YPT). If you have not turned in forms/paid/made arrangements for payment, then you will be DROPPED from the Troop roster, so please pay your dues! Also, BSA dues increase in January, not to mention, you will have to go through the entire adult application process all over again, so thank you for helping us with the great year-end paper chase! Please reach out to Monica Attel with any questions and while you're at it, thank her for all her hard work on this Recharter process for the Troop!

June 4th marks the 100th anniversary of Congress passing the 19th Amendment – a historic moment and an important step that empowered all citizens’ voices to be heard. Civic duty is core to Scouting and foundational to Scouts BSA, which in 2019, one hundred years later, celebrates its own milestone in welcoming all youth to the life-changing program. To commemorate the 19th Amendment in this important year for Scouting, we invite all Scouts BSA members – boys and girls– to write a letter to Congress about a national issue that’s important to them . This fulfills a requirement for the ‘Citizenship in the Nation’ merit badge, one of the thirteen required merit badges for Scouts working to earn their Eagle Scout rank. Scouts who wish to participate must email their letters to a Congressional representative on June 4 and copy Scout.Communications@Scouting.org so the letter can be counted in our national tally. --added from content received May 23 from the BSA

Activity Uniforms

Now that Memorial Day has passed, we allow youth attending Troop meetings to wear their Activity Uniforms (Troop t-shirts, scout shorts, socks, etc.)  Do remember, however, if you are scheduled to have a Board of Review, you will be expected to be in full Field Uniform for that.
