November's campout is the annual Highland Games, so if you don't already have a kilt, NOW is the time to get one. For those new to the big wide world of Scouts -- just what ARE the Highland Games? I'm glad you asked! The Highland Games are an annual Council-wide gathering of Boy Scouts, Explorers and Venturing Crews which features traditional Scottish games: weights, hammers, axe throwing and much more. Scouts (and leaders) will compete in fun and challenging Celtic tests of strength, endurance and skill. So, if you're going to be part of the action, you should dress the part, right?! The kilts are made-to-measure and cost $15. To order, bring your $15 to the Committee Room and see Mrs. Hunter. (Moms, if you can help sew, we could really use your help. It's easy, and we will provide you with everything you need.)
