  Our November Campout will be 10-12 at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2). The program will focus on Climbing .  Permission forms are due Monday, November 6.  Grub money ($15 per scout/$20 per adult) is due with your Permission Slip on Monday, November 6-- get it to your grubmaster so they can plan for you!

 

 

  For our February campout, we'll be going to Worth Ranch February 3-5 and the program will focus on hiking.  This will also be a Philmont practice campout. Meal planning will be conducted at the January 30 Monday night Troop meeting. Remember that $5 needs to go to Ms. Boyd for those participating in the Philmont practice. Permission Forms are HERE

  March's camping trip will be held March 25-27 at Worth Ranch in Palo Pinto. The program will focus on  TENDERFOOT SCHOOL  which is a great opportunity for our older Scouts who need to teach a skill for a sign-off to help out the new Scouts who just crossed over from Cub Scouts.   The best opportunity for leadership is to make yourself available to lead! The Permission Form may be found  HERE .  These are to be turned in to Mr Hunt at the Troop Meeting Grub money ($15 per scout / $20 per adult) will be due at the  March 21 Troop meeting .

The April 8-10 Campout will be the Mustang District Camporee at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch. Permission form is linked below and due at the March 7 Troop meeting along with the $24 Camporee fee (this is over and above the $15 meal fee which will be collected the Monday before the campout). Our October Campout will be 22-24 at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2). The program will focus on Cooking .  Permission forms and grub money ($15 per scout / $20 per adult) are due Monday, October 18. They're located  HERE  and meal planning/patrol assignments will be done at that time.  Transportation: We will officially allow pre-arranged transportation on this campout, i.e. parents can pre-arrange for their Scout to be transported to and from the campout by another parent, but again, you the parent must work this out with another parent – this is not a drop-off scenario like we did pre-COVID. 

Our September Campout will be 9-12 at Mineral Wells State Park. The program will focus on Pioneering .  Here's a great site about the Pioneering Merit Badge. Permission forms are due but if you forgot to send yours, they're located HERE and meal planning/patrol assignments were done at a previous Troop meeting.  Transportation: We will officially allow pre-arranged transportation on this campout, i.e. parents can pre-arrange for their Scout to be transported to and from the campout by another parent, but again, you the parent must work this out with another parent – this is not a drop-off scenario like we did pre-COVID.  The Permission Form linked above needs to be turned in to Mr Hunt ASAP. Grub money ($15 per scout/$20 per adult) IS DUE -- get it to your grubmaster so they can plan for you!

Our May Campout will be 14-16 at Fort Richardson STate Park. The program will focus on  CYCLING.  Permission forms are due by 5/3 and meal planning/patrol assignments will be done at the 5/3 Troop meeting because we have COH on May 10th.  Transportation: We will officially allow pre-arranged transportation on this campout, i.e. parents can pre-arrange for their Scout to be transported to and from the campout by another parent, but again, you the parent must work this out with another parent – this is not a drop-off scenario like we did pre-COVID.  For the cycling component, while we will work on the cycling merit badge to the greatest extent possible, the merit badge is too extensive to complete at one campout.  You must bring your own bicycle, which must be either a mountain bike or hybrid for gravel path – skinny tires on a road/street bike will not be allowed - too dangerous.  You must wear a bike helmet in order to ride your bicycle at this campout. ...

Permission forms for the December Wilderness Survival campout at Worth Ranch are due at our next meeting on December 9. The permission form is HERE . Remember both permission forms and patrol food money will both be due TOMORROW, so be prepared! Bring your $15 patrol food money to give to your grubmaster. Save the date NOW for Longhorn Council CAMPOREE November 8-10 at Texas Motor Speedway!  Our Troop will be attending the Camporee celebrating Longhorn Council's 100 year anniversary.   If that wasn't enough, it's also the annual Highland Games... something we all look forward to! This trip is our intermediate difficulty tour and it takes you a little deeper underground than our Discovery Tour but it is a relaxed and easy expedition for anyone who is ready to crawl and get dirty!" Troop 1910's July campout will be spent ziplining at Trinity Forest Adventure Park July 13-15. We will also be camping nearby at Cedar Hill State Park. The Trinity Treetops aerial adventure courses feature high ropes courses of differing degrees of difficulty. You can warm up on a less challenging course, then face your fears, push your limits, and experience a new kind of adventure with the thrill of zipping through trees and conquering obstacles at up to 50 feet! The Mustang District Camporee is coming up April 13-15. This year's theme is Viking Adventure. Camporee is always a full weekend of fun, with lots of things to do and see! The Order of the Arrow Callout will be Saturday night, so if you are eligible for OA be sure to attend, and if you are already an OA member come and support your brothers. February's camping trip will focus on ORIENTEERING and will be at LBJ Grasslands near Alvord, TX, February 9-11. Be sure to check out your Orienteering Merit Badge blue card if you haven't already and download the workbook HERE to help you track your requirements.
