This will also be a Philmont practice campout. "Come and get an introduction to real wild caving with The Adventure Tour, our beginner's version of an authentic Central Texas Caving experience. This trip is our intermediate difficulty tour and it takes you a little deeper underground than our Discovery Tour but it is a relaxed and easy expedition for anyone who is ready to crawl and get dirty!" The Discovery Tour is also available for anyone who prefers a less-intense experience." Please note there are costs associated with the cave tours.  The cost for the Adventure Tour is $25/person. February's camping trip will focus on ORIENTEERING and will be at LBJ Grasslands near Alvord, TX, February 9-11. Be sure to check out your Orienteering Merit Badge blue card if you haven't already and download the workbook HERE to help you track your requirements. Permission Forms may be found HERE and are due with your grub money ($15 per scout/$20 per adult) at the February 5 Troop meeting .
